3. Yes.
That is undeniable.

You've been a Kerry supporter even before I registered. I can vouch for that.

As a lurker back then, your posts have been more than enjoyable for reading.

Your tenacious loyalty is a wonderful trait for others to admire and cherish.

Now, that being said...

I still think Kerry sucks!

6. Moses died this side of the Promised Land. Dr. Dean's campaign
will do the same. However, Dr. Dean and his campaign led the Dems and this country through the wilderness when the regular dems were curling up in fetal positions.

I believe the tide is turning and I have hope once again for this country.

Dr. Dean should go down in American history as a great patriot. What he did was expose that imposter in the WH when rank and file dems refused to do so.

11. We'll see what happens
Until now, Dean has been a very positive force for this party. The extent to which we owe him and his supporters will be determined by how hard both work for John Kerry to defeat George Bush in the fall.

There's been plenty of Kerry-bashing from the Dean side, which is all part of the primary game. There have also been plenty of "I'll only vote for him while I'm holding my nose" type comments, and the not so rare threat to vote Green.

It would be nice if, at the appropriate moment, Howard brings such people up to speed about the need to join ranks with the Democratic Party and defeat George Bush. He has said he will do this, and I take his word for it. But we've also seen he's capable of speaking out of both sides of his mouth.

So, to sum up, if Howard's a good soldier, and he brings 95% of his supporters along with him in the fall, we owe him big time. If he sends any conflicting signals about the compatibility of his so-called "movement" with the Kerry candidacy, and his supporters play the same game well into the fall, they're both on my shit list.

12. Thank you.
I think the debt is owed not only to Dean, but to all those who worked on other campaigns as well to such a great and feverish extent to fire up the party once again.

13. True. Dean supporters have priceless energy, just hope they stay
...Democrat if he doesn't get the Democratic nomination. They, and Kucinich supporters too come to think of it, are the only ones who I worry about staying home or joining a third party.

Which would make me very sad:cry: because I really like the Dean and Kucinich supporters and I really want them as fellow Democrats.

Please.Please.Please don't desert us if Dean and Kucinich aren't on the ticket. PPPPLLLLLEEEEAAASSSSEEEE!!!!

We need you Left of the Lefties:tinfoilhat:. You who push the moderates into progress. Maybe this isn't the time because our priority is saving our country from Bush, but one day when Dems have control of the Congress AND the White House we'll need the Hard Left to lead us in progress.

Stay patient. Stay with us. We love you:hug:.

from Dean to Clark to Kucinich and on down to Kerry.
Dean and Clark stand out though, and I am grateful for their intrepid and unbowed supporters.

18. It's good to hear that acknowledged
He won't get the nomination and for that I'm sad, but I don't regret one nanosecond of my support for him and I don't regret a dime I sent him for his campaign.

Just to read his daily responses to the idiocy coming out of the WH made me want to jump up and shout "YES" every time one came out. He is as close to an ideal president as I will ever see in my lifetime, and a smart and funny guy to boot.

Alas, it is not meant to be, and so I am working to get myself upbeat about Kerry's election. I'm still working on it, but I'm getting there, although its reluctant.

21. A real campaign is like a street fight, they will do and say anything ....
(almost anyway). I to support Howard, and he is a good guy. I don't regret one dime I sent him or any other thing I did to support his campaign. I came to the conclusion a while back that he was getting bad advise and maybe needed more seasoning for the job (much like Clinton).

Things will work out better, we can all work it out. Getting the thief-unsurper-bigot-AWOL-liar-etc. out of the place he never belonged in the first place, is how I look at it. Not needing to step down the gutter level if and whenever would also be nice also.

That being said, I am now sticking in my Rolling Stones, ah..........where is it .....okay, cue it up..........

http://www.elyrics.net/go/r/Rolling_Stones/Street_Fighting_Man/

Ev'rywhere I hear the sound of marching, charging feet, boy
'Cause summer's here and the time is right for fighting in the street, boy
But what can a poor boy do
Except to sing for a rock 'n' roll band
'Cause in sleepy London town
There's just no place for a street fighting man
No

Hey! Think the time is right for a palace revolution
But where I live the game to play is compromise solution
Well, then what can a poor boy do
Except to sing for a rock 'n' roll band
'Cause in sleepy London town
There's no place for a street fighting man
No

Hey! Said my name is called disturbance
I'll shout and scream, I'll kill the king, I'll rail at all his servants
Well, what can a poor boy do
Except to sing for a rock 'n' roll band
'Cause in sleepy London town
There's no place for a street fighting man
No

19. I've been Pro-Dean since Day one and I'm ready to help Kerry win
Unfortunately we'll have a small percentage of Dean supporters that will think think supporting someone other than Dean means we aren't true liberals, progressives, democrats, etc. I know Dean will be 100% behind the nominee and I will still be on that Dean team helping Kerry (or the eventual nominee) win in November.

If you are a Dean supporter and you won't help with the eventual Dem nominee, that's your choice. But please don't begrudge those who are behind Kerry (or the eventual dem nominee). I'm thinking our guy Dean will be running again for President and I'll be onboard with his next campaign when that happens!!

22. For which, of course, he and his supporters will be "rewarded"...
Edited on Mon Feb-16-04 11:48 PM by JDWalley
...by being purged from party positions, dismissed as "too liberal," and held up to ridicule by "sensible Democrats" like the DLC who know that the only way to defeat Bush is by running a candidate who gave him a blank check on Iraq, the PATRIOT Act, NCLB, etc., etc.

Oh, of course, and also lectured from now until November on how it is our "moral duty" to support the aforementioned nominee, even if, in our opinion, he represents everything we hate about the "go along to get along" Democratic power elite. And, probably, threatened with banishment from DU if we don't deny thrice before the cock crows that we ever had any doubt that John Kerry was the ideal Democrat.

23. the pre-emptive war vote
giving bush his green light. Apparently there will be no "I was wrong" from pro pre-emptive war voters. We so called Democrats can leave if we don't like it. Who needs us anyway. Victims!!! All of us victims!!!

Before this campaign season, I would not have believed that someone would "probably" be "threatened with banishment from DU" for NOT supporting a Democrat for President who gave the appointed deserter bush a pre-emptive right to go to war with anybody bush chose. From the beginning of this pre-emptive war horror, DU was AGAINST the war. So I have believed...

This pro war vote from Democrats, for an appointed madman like bush with his slimey oily corrupt murdering background, and the many 'too bad get over it you are treasonous should be purged' crap from DU members, some supposedly outstanding members of the Democratic party, is sickening.

This war of lies and corruption and corporate oil is affecting many of us personally and forever like war does. Not for the good.

When I say I need help believing giving my vote both of my parents served for away, I mean it. To get that condescending Kerry supporter bush speak crappy arrogance drives me away.

The pre-emptive war in Iraq is a horror for those living it. A horror. Kerry gave bush the green light with his vote. All the coda's coming now 'but, but, but,' just give rise to the DLC spewed crap from From and Reed early on when they spoke from their right of center position, supposedly Democratic mountain proclaiming speaking out against the Iraq war and the pro war vote was not the right strategy. They can go to hell to this liberal Democrat. The lives lost in Iraq are on their heads as well.

Jax
