Any Theories Why They Didn't Do The Rove Resignation For The Friday News Dump?.....
Don't they usually do something like this on the Friday before the weekend so the furor could die down by the start of the new week?
Why did they wait until Monday - unless they want us to talk about this all week? What else are they hiding? What is going on that we're not hearing about?

1. It's not that we're paranoid: it's just that
we're paranoid,
but we have a right to be. We've earned it, over the past 6 1/2 years.

5. I'm thinking it's because they want him to be a big fat red
herring for something else coming soon. Nothing happens by accident with this bunch and timing is everything when you are selling lies for a living.

It could also be an attempt to diffuse interest in him and the * administration in general. "See, Congress, he's gone, back off the investigations"...or something like that.

6. Something spooked them?
Maybe he was suppose to time it for Friday but they wanted distance from the market problems? Or maybe talking about Rove will take our minds off the fact that the markets are crashing?

9. Perhaps they didn't want the Sunday news shows to be all
about Rove. By next Sunday this'll be old news.

12. I think they wanted it in the limelight
When I woke up this morning and saw the news I noticed all the cable channels were bringing on only conservatives to give testimonials about what a gem of a guy he was. The news anchors referred to his crimes as "Critics say" type shit making it seem that poor old unka Karls has been a victim of a 7 year witch hunt by those wild eyed liberals. It was sickening. Bill Bennett's gambling addicted fat ass was all over the place gushing about Karl the saint. By the end of the week, the moronic masses will think Karl was the second coming of Mother Theresa. The admin wanted to give a full week to the story so the media whores would bow and kiss Karl's ring.

15. My theory...
...is it was released today to distract from the poor economic news. This seems to be the headline, not that the central bank(s) are injecting TONS into the local economy/economies. This is a historic event and something that rarely happens unless there are some serious problems. Especially when you consider the fact that purchases of stock typically goes UP during a fall in speculation...it's not happening. People aren't trading as much as they're going for long-term bonds.

The "nuance" is in the timing. Gigot's interview with Rove came on the heels of one of the worst weeks in Wall Street history!

16. I'll buy that
Good theory...and I will add that fears of a terror attack have been up lately, the most recent panic in New York's financial district at the same time the markets were tumbling late last week. Terrorist "chatter" and rumors of some sort of nuclear attack on Manhattan...

something doesn't smell right. Anniversary of 9/11 coming soon, too.

17. Because they want us to think Rove is really gone
but we know otherwise. Look for a huge increase in Dem hit pieces in the MSM and on cable & network 'news' (cough), and particularly ugly smearing of the top tier Dem candidates (get ready for a reaming, Hillary, John and Obama!).
