I was away at my childhood home helping mother with housework and I come back to DU to find all this gibber gabber about a draft. YOU CAN'T START A DRAFT IN THIS POLITICAL CLIMATE. THE IMPEACHMENT WILL BEGIN AND THE WAR WILL COME TO SCREAMING HALT!!!

What do the bushies think? They can just start a draft and everyone will be come along and be marched to their death???????

Enough already. A draft WILL END THE WAR. THE WHOLE COUNTRY WILL BE IN THE STREETS PROTESTING.

To impliment a draft will require approval of both houses of Congress. These are currently controlled by the Democratic Party. Who do think will get the blame for reinstituting the Draft?
