An audience member asked if Howard Dean's ability to energize people will help the Democrats even if Dean isn't the nominee.

Robert Novak replied, "It just shows how many nutbags there are around the country."

FWIW, I was disappointed that he didn't say something to Novak after his comments about Dean supporters, but Novak says so many ridiculous things he can't check them all. I did hear Carville on NPR defending Dean after the Confederate flag controversy. He did such a good job defending him that I thought for sure he was a Dean supporter.
