9. Context is nice.
“I have said publicly no option should be off the table, but I would certainly take nuclear weapons off the table,” Mrs. Clinton said. “This administration has been very willing to talk about using nuclear weapons in a way we haven’t seen since the dawn of a nuclear age. I think that’s a terrible mistake.”

Phil Singer, a spokesman for Mrs. Clinton, said she had been responding to a specific news report that the Bush administration was considering nuclear strikes on Iran. The context, Mr. Singer said, was different from the one raised last week by Mr. Obama.

“Senator Clinton was not talking about a broad hypothetical, nor was she speaking as a presidential candidate,” Mr. Singer said. “Given the saber-rattling that was coming from the Bush White House at the time, it was totally appropriate and necessary to respond to that report and call it the wrong policy.”

10. B-b-b-b-but she made a "blanket statement" about the non-use of nuclear weapons in Iran
and good luck with the "broad hypothetical" mish-mash. And what difference does it make that she said this as a Senator, not a presidential candidate? Shows you they were caught with their pants down on this one, just as they did with slamming Obama on being willing to talk with dictators when she had criticized Bush's refusal to do the same thing.

Hope she gets these frequent contradictions out of her system before the GE if we have the misfortune to nominate her.

11. Thanks. I had read a similar article today in which the 'context' for each of
her comments was included.

Without the context---it gets translated into a no-brainer flip flopping degrading slogan-ese mantra!

So much for her credibility.

Clinton discussed use of nukes last year

By BETH FOUHY, Associated Press Writer Thu Aug 9, 6:42 PM ET

NEW YORK - Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton, who chastised rival Barack Obama for ruling out the use of nuclear weapons in the war on terror, did just that when asked about Iran a year ago.

12. She was AGAINST it in 2006 and FOR it in 2007, just one year apart
enough time to change your view, it is that simple, why do you think it can't be a real change in position for GOOD reasons?
