While those of us who feel we are owed some sort of medal for sticking it out may WANT an apology, it certainly isn't owed to us by anyone here on DU.

This is a public forum, and people come here to discuss, debate, gripe etc...

Whether you believed it, wanted to believe it, didn't want to believe it, etc... it's your right to say whatever you want to say, and no apology is necessary for speaking out regarding something you believe to be true. If I disagreed with you along the way, it's called "healthy debate" and only helps to solidify my stance, or perhaps, soften an unreasonable stance I have made.
