Something for all you 'we don't have to votes' types
'Republicans walked out of the House en masse'

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/08/03/AR2007080300878_pf.html

There were at least a dozen times when our side should have done this - win or lose.

Now the minority GOP has our side appointing what amounts to a special prosecutor to look into what amounts to nothing. Meanwhile, Bush has actually done a lot of things wrong, and we've rarely called him on it, and when we do, he tells us to go jump in a lake. And we do it.

Something is wrong with our party leadership's basic approach to conflicts with the GOP. And, in my view, it starts with all the weaklings who counsel restraint in the face of criminal behavior by the GOP. 'We don't have the votes' needs to be replaced by 'go for it.' Fear of a backlash needs to be replaced with 'bring it on.'

Otherwise, we will never have the votes, the Constitution is doomed, and we will deservedly return to the minority soon.

1. They did nothing at all
like this when they were the minority and now that they are actually in the majority it's worse!

They don't have a huge majority and I didn't expect a lot but I did expect something, at the least the stop the WH takeover of our freedom.

5. Guys--take a cold shower. Writing and passing bills is not an action movie.

Passing legislation is not "High Noon." It has little to do with courage and cowardice. It really comes down to very dull things like number of votes and compromises and strategy.
