Obama Tops Clinton in State
this is for those who think Hillary is winning my state. ha. I said that one poll was bogus and not an honest poll so, I thought I would let you guys see the real answer to who is winning in Illinois.

Barack Obama indeed is the favorite son of Democrats in Kane and DuPage counties.

The Democratic parties in both counties conducted straw polls on the Democratic presidential contenders during the recent Kane and DuPage county fairs.

And in both cases, Obama far outdistanced Sen. Hillary Clinton.

Obama in lead

Barack Obama handily defeated Hillary Clinton in straw polls among Democrats at the recent Kane and DuPage county fairs:

Kane County

• Obama -- 53 percent

• Clinton -- 27 percent

DuPage County

• Obama -- 60 percent

• Clinton -- 25 percent
In Kane County, 277 people voted at the Democrats' booth at the fair. Of those, 53 percent cast ballots for Obama, while Clinton got just 27 percent.

Of the 431 people who voted at the Democrats' booth at the DuPage fair, 60 percent favored Obama, while Clinton came in second with 25 percent.

"That is pretty much mirroring the rest of the state," said Mark Guethle, chairman of the Kane County Democratic Party. "I'm not surprised at all. I felt that was the pulse out there for Barack.

2. Doesn't this just show two counties?
and not the whole state? I mean, I'm not disputing that Obama is leading in Illinois - I'd certainly expect him to be leading there - but this wouldn't be the poll to prove it.

4. Hey Katz
I am in Tampa right now, but I'm leaving in the morning to go visit some family in other parts of FL. I'll probably be in and out of Tampa for the next couple of weeks, though, so I'll keep you posted! :7

5. interesting
in the two top republican county`s in illinois the democrats favor a more progressive candidate than hillary...
i never pass up the chance when someone mentions they would vote for hillary that if they want someone who will not fundamentally change this country then vote for her. if one wants real change it`s either obama or edwards

6. Gee what a shock!
Please. You think that any supporter of another candidate would think that Obama wouldn't win the IL primary? Get real.
