John Edwards for President
Thursday, August 2, 2006

Chapel Hill, North Carolina – Senator John Edwards issued the following statement about the tragic bridge collapse in Minneapolis.

"Elizabeth and I are heartbroken by the tragedy in Minneapolis. We join all Americans in mourning those whose lives were taken, and send our prayers and deepest sympathies to their families.

"This is a tragic reminder that America must be vigilant to ensure the safety of our nation's infrastructure."

4. I agree.
There are some repubs who are so disgusted with their party, they will just stay home on election day (like my in-laws). But if Clinton or Obama get the nomination, it will be ABC or ABO (anybody but Clinton/Obama).

7. I saw Edwards on a CNN Crossfire show back when he was a Senator.
I remember commenting to my wife "that guy is going to be President someday"
I still believe that.
