Obama was right. If there's intelligence that terrorists in Pakistan are plotting to kill Americans, then we should do whatever it takes to make sure it doesn't happen. Musharraf has NO control over northern Pakistan. Al Queda is running around like they were in Afghanistan. If Musharraf can't handle what's in his own border, then President Obama is right to go in there and take out the terrorists if there's good intelligence that they're cooking up something.

It's true that such a strike could cause political instability in Pakistan, but it's the job of the American president to protect our lives, not Musharraf's government. Our safety and security supercedes any concerns about the Pakistani govt. collapsing. The president is paid to worry about us, not Musharraf.

Besides, India will make sure that nothing bad happens in Pakistan. They will not tolerate a lawless Pakistan.

2. Frankly, it's a tough job for any President, of any party.
Let us not discuss sending US troops into that hell-hole as if it is something that is easy or without pain. Perhaps it would be right to go in there, IF WE CAN. I'm not convinced that is the case. And it's still technically Pakistan territory so, the political repercussions will be severe for Musharraf.. oh never mind him, I mean for the central Pakistan national government. The leader is irrelevant.
