We`re all getting soaked in this pissing contest
Someone on truth serum should break out of the pack and tell Americans:

No government can keep citizens 100% safe, 100% of the time
Respectful diplomacy gains more allies than bombs
Willful disregard for social and economic justice creates discontent
Treating other cultures with contempt fosters resentment
Savagery and cruelty deserve no place in policy
Both "war on terror" and "terrorist" have been misused

This ongoing contest of bellicose rhetoric is pathetic.
I`ll bomb Iraq AND Iran.
I`ll bomb Iraq, Iran AND Pakistan.
I`ll bomb everyone but us and London.

Do we have enemies? YES. Has the maniac in the White House made us safer? NO. Do we need fresh ideas and a course correction? INDEED. Let`s not simply cheer the chest beaters. Let`s open our minds and think deeply about another way. Without courage to change, we could go on forever like this... sacrificing more brothers and sisters, destroying any last shred of moral authority and creating an insurmountable mountain of debt.

Once George W. Bush is sent back to Crawford, our Constitution may have a chance to heal from the anguish caused by the blood-sucking, Bush administration parasites. Until then, let`s hope Democrats can come up with a genuine change agent.

1. The "pissing" contest will help progressives such as Kucinich
because he is among the few advocating a rational foreign policy.

2. On the contrary, it helps the Republicans.

3. I don't see how, particularly when Democratic war hawks sound just like GOP war hawks
They both support the status quo, and the endless GWOT that it brings with it.

4. I agree with you on this.
With the exception of his late come-round to a woman's right to choose, I have always been impressed with Kucinich's stand on the issues. I did, however, view him as a "niche" or "protest" candidate.

Now, I have to say, I am actually considering giving him my vote in the primary. He has benefitted, in my eyes, at least, from the seeming blood-thirst and corporate suck-up of the other candidates of late.

The "pissing contests" among the favorites are doing NOTHING to make me and people like me want to vote for them. Nada. Zip. Zilch. Dennis just seems to go out and say what he thinks is right, no matter what the latest "focus group" or "polling" has to say. I like that in a candidate.

So, while I have decided for sure, and my primary vote could change (if others, say, were to get into the race late), for now, Kucinich seems to be the one I'll opt for in the primaries.

5. Obama did not say he would bomb anyone.
