Letter To Dean Campaign, Suggest Other Dean People Write Also

First I'd like to say you guys have run a great campaign thus far, and I hope you continue to do so in some form. I'd like to see Dean stay in for a number of reasons, which I won't go into here, in whatever capacity, even if it becomes just an Internet campaign, or Dean has to go back to driving around in a van, like he did at the beginning, when most of us "Deaniacs" first saw, and were inspired by him. I still have $50 to become a $100 contributor, and if he stays I hope to eventually be able to squeeze it out of my over-stretched budget.

I'd love to see this campaign turned into an attack on the media, on the DLC both of whom have so disrespected our choice for the Democratic nominee, and conspired to destroy Dean's candidacy. We intend to convert our group in some form, toward something positive. I only wish Dean could somehow speak out against them, but we all know they would just portray it as whining. When they control everything, all the spin, all the lies, it seems pointless sometimes.

But my main purpose is to ask you to refrain from passing my information along to the Kerry campaign, should you decide to withdraw from the campaign. I can't in good conscience support Kerry, and unless the election is exceedingly close in my state I won't be voting for him. I can't campaign for him, nor will I give him any of my money or time. In the meet up group I ran in Mobile, opinions vary, certainly not all are of my mind, but some are. Whatever you choose to do with our contact information that I, and many other meet up hosts have collected for you, I wish you would consider allowing our members to "opt-in" if we choose, rather than enacting a massive data-dump into the Kerry campaign.

Thanks again for a great race, and I express my deepest sorrow at the state, and actions of the American media. Americans desperately want to believe in their media, but clearly both Clark supporters and Dean supporters have been exposed to the true nature of the manipulation that has transpired, I believe installing Kerry, who will be the most easily beaten by Bush. Their actions against Dean are only compounded by the fact that many media executives are raising money for Kerry. It is sad that such tremendous conflicts of interest, not addressed by anyone.

1. With the understanding

That I will vote for anyone who get the Democratic nomination, on what basis do you believe that Kerry will be the most easily beaten by Bush?

In addition, even though Dean look out of the current race, Edwards is definitely still in, and with two weeks to go after Wisconsin before super Tuesday, the nomination is still not decided no matter what the media says. In those two weeks Edward could gain momentum.

Incidently, I was a Clark supporter, but I will support anyone but Bush.

3. Rooms full

There are rooms full of documents on his votes, and they will pick them apart with 200 million dollars, and he will be viewed as unpatriotic.

He will lose a lot of Green Party support that was within the ranks of the Dean campaign, and I suspect some Kucinich supporters that Dean would have pulled.

This whole Vietnam issues is kind of like reverse Dixie-Chicking the Republicans, using their sordid tactics against them. Not only is it a bit hypocritical of Democrats, but I don't think it is washing with Americans either, judging from a poll I saw, by a two to one margin.

I base my calculations on my own thoughts, not what the media, which is nothing but the face of huge corporations, tells me. Why do you think Senators have such a difficult time getting to the presidency historically? Their records, and in recent history, the fact that they are ultimate Washington insiders. Kerry lacks the fire, and from the looks of it, he appears so unhealthy he's liable to drop before the race. Really looking sickly.

2. As a committed Gore supporter, I know how you feel

The same elements that StoppedDean earlier Stopped Gore. These elements are the media, as you suggest, and the Democratic party machinery.

Kerry (I feel) was instrumental in acting as an arm of the DLC by encouraging other members to publicly ask Gore not to run. While Kerry is fond of publicly displaying his battlefield courage of 30 years, his political courage in meeting a political opponent head-on is AWOL. And where was Kerry when many of the issues so important to both Dean and Gore supporters came up for a vote? He was either MIA (such as when the overtime and Medicare bills came up for discussion and/or a vote) or he was on the wrong side of the issue (Iraq war).

I didn't know until this morning that Kerry's attorney brother, a telecommunications lawyer, represents many of the major news companies, ABC, NBC, MSNBC just to name a few. This came out in a discussion carried on C-SPAN. I believe he must have had some influence in the media's message.

I will not be voting for Kerry but will keep an eye open as to who might launch an Independent run. If Kerry gets the Democratic nomination, I will be leaving this party and registering as an Independent.

4. One thing I know

You may feel good about standing up for so-called principle and not voting for the nominee if it is Kerry, but if enough people have that attitude, then Bush will win a second term for sure, and don't belive for a second that people will be so unhappy with his second term that it will be easy to get a liberal candidate into power.

If Bush wins this second term then for at least the next 20 years the neo-cons will control the Supreme Court, the Legislative, and executive branch.

Woman will lose the right to choose. Vocher and religious schools will be the norm. The rich will get more powerful, and the poor will get poorer. Medicare and social security will be private, and the environment will be destroyed.

Will people be outraged?

Yes, but it will be too late.

This is the same thing Nader did by saying there was no difference. Well, if Kerry wins the nomination, and a bulk of Democrats go off to a 3rd party candidate, he will lose, and Bush will win.

If that is the case I do not want to hear environmentalists complain. I do not want to hear woman complain how they do not have the right to an abortion or equal pay for equal work, or older people complain because they do not have adequate healthcare, and children being short-changed on their education.

BUT MOST OF ALL, I DO NOT WANT TO HEAR ANYONE COMPLAIN WHEN THE DRAFT IS INSTITUTED NEXT YEAR, and the only choice your children have is war or Canada. I lived through the Viet Nam war, and I am tired of the B.S. that there is no difference. Well, there is, and you will pay for it in blood!
