FBI Raids Senator's Home

Federal investigators raided the Alaska home of embattled Sen. Ted Stevens (R-AK), Roll Call reports.

The Politico notes Stevens and his son Ben "have been under investigation due to their relationship with the oil services firm, Veco. The former head of that firm, Bill Allen, has been convicted of bribing Alaska politicians."

They also showed John Conyer's face when William Jefferson was being indicted. The beauty of that 'mistake' was it was footage from one of Conyer's committee hearings and there was someone in the room holding an "Resign" sign during one of the Gonzales hearings. So now we have a black man walking past a spectator holding a 'resign' sign and the media automatically assumes this must be Jefferson.

I think he and his wife thought they had their asses covered so as not to get caught; and in this day and age of the new Executive Justice Department, I'm thrilled to see a non-Bushie at work up in Alaska. If only all of us could trust our local US Attorney to do what is fair and just.

"Though the FBI won't say what it was looking for, the Anchorage Daily News reports agents were at the home of Sen. Ted Stevens (R-AK) for more than 10 hours yesterday. They carted off "undisclosed items from inside" the house and took "extensive pictures and video."
