Is there something like a "Kerry Fast Response Team"?
It's only natural that, as the primaries move on, heat on the frontrunner turns up a notch. Or two.

There's an enormous amount of energy that collectively goes into responses to questions, doubts, accusations, and probes - which is only (or at least mostly) good, as that tests the validity of that frontrunner.

Now, there used to be a very active collective of volunteering Clarkies who were very well-versed with issues, positions and followed publications, that worked, among other things, to find such answers. So...

Is there something like that for Kerry, too? I looked and looked and looked... No dice so far. If it doesn't, should it be?

I'm sure that, come the nomination, that'd be an immense asset...

1. I'm pretty sure they have one.

Every campaign has one.

But, the importance is, how well organized and effective the venue is.

I know the Dean and Clark had a pretty good response team that worked very well.

on edit: I have to admit, you guys had the best response team here in DU while Clark was still a candidate.

As a matter of fact, you guys had the best organization in DU in terms of "gang-tackling" opposition threads. It was very effective and shows you've all done great for the man.

Cheers!

3. Clinton had a pretty good rapid response team.
Never let the sun set on an accusation, or something like that. It was effective, and Kerry (or whoever) should get up to snuff on this immediately.

4. I'm almost sure Kerry's campaign HQ has one too, but
I am referring to a volunteer, supporter based effort: ever since the 1992 campaign, something funny happened called the Internet.

There was a timid attempt to set up http://www.clarkmyths.com/ but I'm positive that a more active and "aggressive" version run by volunteers for Kerry will do miracles, in the run-up to the GE. At least, that's what I think...

Anyhoo - Just wondering if there's anything like that underway. Reason being that -- again, unlike 1992 -- much in the press follows rumor / allegation, by far mostly from the Net.
