Glenn Beck Disses Al Gore...says Gore's not going to be rounding up Jews and exterminating them, BUT

When Rick Perlstein ran this Glenn Beck quote, I thought it might be a joke. Or perhaps a paraphrase. Maybe an Onion-like parody. Alas, the CNN host, who praised the John Birch Society this week, recently told viewers:

"You know, Al Gore's not going to be rounding up Jews and exterminating them. It is the same tactic, however. The goal is different. The goal is globalization. The goal is global carbon tax. The goal is the United Nations running the world. That is the goal. Back in the 1930s, the goal was get rid of all of the Jews and have one global government.

"You got to have an enemy to fight. And when you have an enemy to fight, then you can unite the entire world behind you, and you seize power. That was Hitler's plan. His enemy: the Jew. Al Gore's enemy, the U.N.'s enemy: global warming....

"Then you get the scientists -- eugenics. You get the scientists -- global warming. Then you have to discredit the scientists that say, 'That's not right.' And you must silence all dissenting voices. That's what Hitler did."

I suppose there's a logical explanation for why CNN has given this man his own talk show, and why ABC News invited him to be a regular contributor to "Good Morning America." I just can't think of what that explanation might be. It's not like his ratings are keeping him on the air.

Ron Chusid, he used to get pissed at me for pointing out that Republicans sounded just like Birchers, and the connections between the Bircher money and the groups that fund Heritage and AEI. I'd point it out on his site, but he's banned me for confronting him on slandering people just because they believe in, what he considers, nutty things. Too funny.

15. Ok, Beck just jumped the shark, unfortunately for the world, it was a stuntman and he cleared it.

Occasionally, when my BP is especially low, I may tune in to the Beckstravaganza, purely to see the plane crash up close as it is occurring, rather like I probably would, if on an upper floor actually watch the freight train barrelling down upon the grandma in the stalled Olds Delta 88. Unfortunate for her, to be assured, and not pleasant, however a valuable lesson on when to ditch and run for cover for all who witness it.
Anyone who would make a comparison to global warming and the Shoah is discredited beyond even having to state the obvious. The Holocaust has no comparison in human history. . .and global warming while man-abetted, was largely done out of ignorance not as an act of volition.

Beck will be soon off the air, I would wager. The code words "one world government" is very popular with the militia types up in Coeur d'Alene. I am not surprised that he picked it up with their spiritual cousins, the Birchers.

Of course, he didn't call it the ZOWG, Zionist One World Government, as he has quite a few hell fire and kill em all and let G-d sort em out Jewish pundits of the lowest caliber -- real ultra Likudniks -- on quite regularly, telling us how Iran is going to make the mushroom cloud go up over Tel Aviv any day now. . .failing to mention that would probably do quite a bit of damage to the rock inside the Haram al Sahrif, the place the Muslibangelists are supposed to be protecting with their bombs and airplanes dive bombing into buildings in NYC.

Yes, Mr. Beck's latest foray into the world of intellectual enlightenment is the exposure of Iranian ties with al Qaeda. Why, yes, Mr. Beck, I am sure that Old Sammy is in Yadz whipping intransient Zoroastarians right now, before returning to his palace in Teheran before a shift at the bomb plant there underneath the university's squash court.

Having worked late this evening and missing the joys of CNN, I must confess that my foray into the mechanics of examining the data v. information v. knowledge v. wisdom debate in systems theory left me much more pleaure of evey sort, and sore eyes and back, devoid of Beck today for another day of peace and quiet.

p.s. I am still rooting for the shark.
