Most important words from the CNN YouTube debate
I believe the most important words during the debate were those spoken by Edwards. I transcribe them below (not an exact transcription):

"How do we bring about big change? And I believe that is the fundamental question. The question is: Do you believe that compromise, triangulation will bring about big change. I don't.

I think the people who are powerful in Washington - big insurance companies, big drug companies, big oil companies - they are not going to negotiate. They are not going to give away their power. The only way that they're going to give away their power is if we take it away from them

And I have been standing up to these people my entire life. I have been fighting them my entire life in courtrooms and beating them and if you want real change, you need somebody who has taken these people on and beaten them over and over and over.

I know what Edwards is talking about, and I know how valuable his experience as a plaintiff's attorney in lawsuits against the big corporations would be to the American people. He has seen, first hand, just how big corporations work, what happens to the rest of us when the big corporations write the laws.

I will vote for the Democratic candidate, whoever he or she may be. But I am more and more convinced that our nation needs Edwards. Hillary and to some degree, Obama, are in league with big corporations. The only candidates who are not in league with big corporations are Edwards and Kucinich. The rest of the field is hopelessly dependent on the corporations.

1. Which is why many Dems are so afraid of Edwards
Just watch the haircut stories explode when he closes the gap in the polls.

4. Edwards is the best of the field.
The big corporations that own the media have no interest in broadcasting Edwards' message. Far from it. That is why we have to do it.

11. Why do you like Obama better?
I'm sincerely asking. I'm not criticizing you. I'm genuinely interested.

For myself, I think Obama has a very warm voice and is an excellent speaker.

I like Edwards better. I will support Obama if he wins the primaries.

9. Those were the most impressive words, I agree...
And I was glad to see Edwards using his background to his advantage ~ standing up to the big boys ain't easy, and his experience is valuable.
