Class and presidential electoral politics.
Does anyone remember the 1992 Dem convention when the Gore family joined the Clinton family on stage in NYC. Chelsea was 13, I believe, and sweet, but little goofy looking. She definitely didn't look she WASN'T from a city far from LA or DC or NY or BOS.

The Gore girls -- all very pretty, very stylish -- were on stage too and they stared at her in a way that really looked condescending. I remember watching that with my family and someone said something like, they're looking at Chelsea like they can't believe her father is going to President and theirs is only going to be Vice President.

It was quite a contrast in socio-economic class, I thought.

Does anyone else remember that?

1. Hey, You Know Edwards Really Wasn't The Son Of A Millworker
in that his father was actually a Textile Mill MANAGER who went on to own his own Textile Mill consulting business?

A lot of what passes for discussions of class amongst presidential candidates is bs.

Edwards being living proof.

4. They still didn't have the money to put him through Clemson or Duke which
were the best college and law school he got into.

And I don't know where you got the information that he was a "textile mill consultant" but isn't that what unemployed people in silicon valley say they do? They're 'consultans."

You know, I had Chicken cordon bleu once on an airline flight. At least that's what I called it.

If you know something about Edwards's father, let's see the facts. You have his 1040s?

5. Those gore girls came across as snobs to the member of my family who
pointed it out.

3. Please consider the diverse backgrounds

Humanity has not yet matured with improved ed systems to minimize class differences. We are a LOLO species bent on selfishness as a whole. There is promise, however remote, that a change is in the wind.
