I confess to having drifted rightward during that period myself. I was still left of center but had let my Mother Jones subscription lapse. But events of the last 7 years (actually by 2003) were like a bucket of ice water and I was jerked solidly back to the politics of my youth. (No, I didn't become stupid enough to vote for Bush. I suspected he was a last minute substitute for Dan Quayle, the previously assigned patsy to serve as the face of the Neocons but who turned out to be even too stupid for that.) Mrs. Clinton doesn't have my vote yet but if she wins the primary I'm not going sit it out because she isn't pure enough.

She supports unfettered free trade via NAFTA and for profit health care via Hillary Care, which would have left the insurance companies in charge of our health care.

Dennis Kucinich is the ONLY true progressive candidate running as a Democrat. With Dennis you know what you are getting. There would be no "hoping" he takes a left turn.

Look who she dragged out yesterday to attack Barack Obama for his lack of foreign policy experience, "miss collateral damage" herself, Madeleine Albright. Just as I am not happy the same crowd that was in power in the 1980s is in charge, so I would not be happy if Ms Albright was called upon to issue foreign policy advice.

People are nostalgic for the Clinton era because Clinton could tie a coherent English sentence together. As for serving the ruling elites in this country, not much difference between the policies of the Clinton era and those of the Bush era.

With Dennis Kucinich we would get REAL change and it would benefit REAL people instead of only those who live in the "good" ZIP codes
