Down the wedge comes

NBC is pushing the Massachussetts ruling onto John Kerry's lap just like I said they would.

They are pushing the "national amendment" issue against gay marriage.

Kerry did a nice job by pushing the question off on state's rights.

3. Hey hockey hair,
Kerry's doing fine. Bush can't even speak in complete sentences or tell simple truths.

7. I agree about Bush
he can't speak well, but Kerry can't take advantage of it because he has his own speaking problems in that he comes across as cold and lifeless. if he could just warm up and show some charisma & charm, Bush would get laughed off the stage.

8. Kerry has a ten point lead on Bush.
A Kerry-Clark ticket will overwhelm the GOP. I have no problems with Kerry's oratory. Looking presidential works; riding motorcycles does not.

9. Kerry-Edwards
Edwards would give Kerry some of the much needed warmth to connect better with the average guy on the street. if Kerry is to be the nominee, then hopefully Edwards will change his mind about being vp. I also like John Breaux as a vp choice.

10. Again, Kerry connects fine.
The poll numbers show it. People want a president, not a bowling buddy.

11. what people want
is someone they can relate to. I don't think Kerry has given them that...yet. can he connect at that level with the public? he probably can, but he needs to start making more of an effort. right now, he comes across as condescending, as if he's better than everyone else. people don't like that. it's insulting.

5. Kerry and the FMA
Kerry needs to come down squarely against amending the US constitution to prohibit gay marriage. He can have his personal beliefs without endorsing amending the constitution. His answer didn't make that clear; he seemed to be avoiding the issue.

13. I Agree, WMass......
Kerry just pissed me off with his Non-Answer just now at the debate. Is he so afraid of not being in the middle? Just say NO to amending the Constitution. If Kerry keeps this up, he is going to lose votes. I really can't stand him. Kennedy had some great things to say regarding same-gender marriage. Kerry is a wuss.

6. Kerry should point out that GOP Govs in Mass
appointed the justices who came down with the gay marriage ruling.

12. Yes

He needs to make this distinction. The Right wing echo chamber will try to blame Massachusetts Democrats for those "activist judges".

Kerry needs to set them straight before they have a chance to deceive the public.
