1. This is the latest entry on John Conyer's website,
a letter to Fred Fielding, counsel to John Bolton and Harriet Meirs.

I only knew this because I was listening to Randi.

2. Thanks so much for that link.

From the letter, apparently they have until 7/23 to reply.
If they do not comply at that time, I certainly hope that Conyers & Co.
have all the i's dotted and t's crossed and will be able to proceed to
the next step immediately, before the 70% of Americans who still
have some sanity left are forced to give up the last ounce of hope
that remains.

4. Not gonna get jailed on contemt charge cuz
it will go to the high courts and they will rule in
favor of executive privilege aka separation of powers.
That could change if a crime has been committed and it
can be proven in a court of law.

5. If charged with inherent contempt it doesn't go
to the courts, but goes to the House floor and the determination made there.

7. The congress and the Executive have EQUAL and independent
status per US Constitution. One can not usurp the
authority of the other. Do you know of a precedent
when this type of action was invoked?
