2. I agree
I still support Dean, and will until he decides to leave the primaries or fails to obtain the nomination. I am, however, looking carefully at Kerry, because he is the frontrunner. I appreciate people here posting information about the Rethug attacks and the truth we can use to refute them.

For those whose candidates have dropped out-if you don't feel like working for the frontrunner, why not concentrate on helping in your local House election? I think it is just as important that we not neglect getting a majority there.

3. I've been thinking about this a lot today
People grieve when their candidate drops out. It's a horrible experience. It feels like you've been betrayed - but you don't know by whom.

We need to let these people come to grips with any loss. It's tough for them and everyone needs to be sympathetic and supportive.

It'll take time but, I think - I hope - the greater responsiblity of getting rid of GW will overtake everyone eventually.

It's not an actual done deal yet and I will support whoever the nominee is. I also respect those who have taken a stand of behalf of a candidate. I love seeing people passionate about politics.

4. Brothers and Sisters?
Democrats have treated me like shit for the better part of two decades. Now that they want support, they refer to me as a brother. I'm not referring to your post by itself; I've read countless posts with the same theme.

It's bad enough being forced to vote for the lesser of evils. But when people start calling me their "brother," even as they ignore my pleas for help - even as they ignore my children - it only alienates me.

I'd respect Democrats more if they were honest. A good campaign theme for 2004 would be "Vote for Democrats. Bush is Even Worse."

Everybody knows that after a bad football season everyone can say.......

Wait till next year...

Whereas in this case...4 years from now nobody will even remember your name...

6. Have all but Kerry dropped out already?
If so, I agree.

If not, I vehemently disagree. Last time I looked, votes were still supposed to be counted.

I'll join you in your appeal to unity after the nomination: until then, I'll work for Kerry on his own merits.

13. Guess where I am... Reno!
LOL - that's just really great.

I was at Wooster HS yesterday, too - had one HECK of a party with the historic turnout there (no less than 50% more than ALL statewide caucus votes in 2000!) and the enormous positive energy. We can turn this puppy RED this year! Yes, I felt the power, too.

And thanks for the nudge to Clark! ;)

BTW - I'm import... But at least I know how to say "Nevada" hehe
