A Kerry/Clark ticket and winning BIG
Assuming Kerry has the good taste and judgment to pick General Clark as his running mate, here's what I think they need to do the day Kerry announces his VP choice is Clark. Kerry should come forward stating that as VP General Clark will be given the task of exiting U.S. troops out of Iraq asap. Then, with all fanfare, he should give the floor to Clark who will proceed to produce his extensive and well thought out Iraqi exit strategy (we know he can do it). The Pukes who keep whining that Dems complain about Iraqmire but have no clue as what to do about the situation, will be completely shut down and, IMO, Kerry/Clark will score a huge political coup.

2. The Perfect Combination
Make no mistake, I was and am a Clark supporter. To be absolutly honest about it I hold no love for Kerry and even less for Dean. Clark makes Kerry palatable for me.

3. This graph demonstrates why Kerry really needs Clark on the ticket.

Kerry does very well on all the domestic issues. He beats * hands down in these areas. However, he's behind in terrorism, and the situation in Iraq. Having General Clark as VP, and, if you accept my logic, putting him in charge of Iraqmire, and even the "war on terra", would go a long way toward sewing up this election for Dems. Pound hard on *'s vulnerabilities, and trump him on his strengths.

I left Kerry for Clark. Kerry without Clark is a bitter pill to swallow indeed. You're right, it is, among other things, a matter of palatability ;-)

9. Thom, I would really love it if you would
use an avatar or signiture line to SHOW your support for Clark. It will help show everyone just how much support there still is for Clark. Kerry people will see how important Clark is to his campaign. I don't think Clark supporters should just fade off into the woods. We neeed to put our presence out there. Of course that is just MHO.

4. I agree with Kerry/Clark, but
Kerry could still pick another VP and say Clark will be secretary of state or Defense secretary and accomplish the goals you pointed out. I would like to see Clark and Edwards in the Kerry administration. I think Clark is a shoe-in in a Kerry administration.

8. If it's Sec of State (apparently he can't be Sec of Defense),
he needs to be very active and visible on the campaign trail. Early on, Kerry should make it clear that Clark will be in his administration. And Clark should present the Iraqi exit strategy at a major press conference. At least, that's the strategy this political neophyte activist would use!

10. I agree...Kerry should make it known just as soon as he gets the
nomination that Clark will be his VP and will be in charge of strategy to exit Iraq and going after bin Laden. His job will not be attending funerals! Maybe even say the Sec. of Defense and Sec. of State will be working directly with Clark.
I also agree we don't want to waste any time and get the Freepers (no offense) to know Clark and his expertiece...something the corp/media has kept secret.

13. If all of this comes to pass, the '04 election will be unlike anything
Pukes have ever had to deal with. How does AWOL, Iraqmire creator, Halliburton enabling * go up against 2 decorated war heroes, a lieutenand and general, one an Vietnam war protestor, the other a steadfast military guy. We'd be covering all our bases on national security, anti-terrorism, and military strength. Plus, Kerry easily beats * on the domestic issues. We are looking at unbeatable combo here people! The bushies would be completely blindsided! :D

14. Kerry has already highlighted more than once
Clark's stake in national security territory. I'm glad to see Kerry display the generosity of character to know who the right man is to carry this part of the platform into the White House.
