Just wondering if folks would like to get together somewhere afterwards and meet each other...

1. I can't.
I don't have a car. :(

I feel like a loser without one. :(

2. Nah, you're not a loser!
Not if you're a Kucinich supporter!

Just a thought -- if you can bus to Northrup, I'll bet we can get you a ride from there.

Anyway, keep checking this thread, maybe someone lives in your area and can help out.

3. Depending on whether I'm working or not, I'll come!
You don't get a chance to see Kucinich very often up here. :)

5. I know of a few Pine county folks coming down
Don't know how many for sure yet, but my state representative (Bill Hilty, CD 8A) and his wife are going, probably with some friends along. My parents might go, and my two sisters are game.

Still working on some other folks -- people up here don't much like driving down to the Cities, ya know. Those freeways, yuck!

Anyhow, you wanna meet up? After all this time, I'd love a chance for a face-to-face with you! :D

11. Yeah, I'll be there PERFORMING!!!
I'm part of the "Kucinich Song" chorus and backup band, so yeah, I'll be right there! Although I may be hard to recognize-- for those who've met me, I recently cut off all my hair, after 4 years. I'm donating it for wigs for kids who went thru chemo, so it's going to a good cause!

Oh, here's more info, too: http://www.minnesotaforkucinich.com/kucinichinminnesota.php. There's downloadable flyers and info about ALL his statewide appearances Feb 20-22.

It will be a GREAT time!

15. Only in spirit,
since I'm in CA. But I sure wouldn't miss it if I were in Minnesota; my favorite music, comedy, theater, activists, and...DENNIS! What a great gathering!

I hope the word has gone out far and wide for Minnesota voters.

Kucinich to be joined by Patch Adams, activist & physician; Kathy Kelly of Voices in the Wilderness; possibly other national acts. Folk-rock, blues, & Middle Eastern music, plus comedy & theater. Volunteers invited to stay thru 3/2 to help organize.

Hey, maybe us DUers should wear something to identify ourselves at the House of Balls thingy? Just a thought.

Hmmm... I could wear my new DU bumbersticker on my butt, since I haven't put it on my car yet.

Do you know more details about this party? Is DK himself supposed to be there too?

19. I am from Alabama, but my wife is from MN!
She's from Minnomin, up in the north part (Iprobably misspelled the town name - don't tell my wife!). She and I are strong DK supporters. We won't be up there for the caucus, but we send you our moral support and want some in return come June (our primary, down here). Dennis' America is the one we want, for ourselves and our children. Go DK!!

Not far from Lake of the Woods in far northern Minnesota.

Thanks for your support! You've got it coming back as well!

22. Banner for Kucinich at Northrop, Tues Feb 17th!
We've prepared a 12-foot banner for publicity bannering to be shown Tuesday over 11th Avenue in the I-35W/I-94 Commons area of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

This is to announce the huge "Rally for Peace, Jobs, and Justice" going on at Northrop Auditorium on the University of Minnesota (Minneapolis east bank), on Saturday, Feb. 21st - Keynote Speaker Dennis Kucinich, with Dr. Patch Adams, and fabulous musical acts as well. For more information, see http://www.minnesotaforkucinich.com or see the National Kucinich website.

This banner should be read by thousands of cars. Bring any and all large Kucinich placards, banners, or signs with you. Assemble on the bridge.

Time: 4:00 p.m.
Place: 11th Avenue Bridge over I-35W/I-94
Date: Tuesday (tomorrow)

Two thoughts:

1. People who are more familiar with that neighborhood might want to chime in on parking options. I don't know anything about parking around there.

2. This banner is huge. It's very likely that we'll be staging a bannering event every day from Tuesday onward (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday - maybe even Saturday).

28. Bring your biggest Kucinich banners and signs
We're going to meet on the 11th Ave. bridge over the I-35W/I-94 "Commons" area in Minneapolis.

Thousands of cars pass underneath every rush hour (well, sometimes they actually "crawl"). We'll pack in thousands to Northrop on Saturday.

See you this afternoon!

Well, I'll be somewhere, anyway. I'll be at Northrop for sure, and then later at the NLG event. I might not go down to Northfield, though.

And did you northerners know Dennis is going to be in Duluth on the 22nd?

Go, Dennis, Go!
