The Politics of the WWF - "Republicans vs. Democrats"
I watched this very disturbing documentary on FSTV about how the WWF distorts the social consciousness of the viewers and fans that follow it. What passes as "entertainment" is a politically conservative message that beating women is OK, stereotyping homosexuals is OK, and bullying, in general, is OK.

No question that there is a sizable block of people who think this is high art. My question is, when will Vince McMahon and the RNC get together and create wrestling personnas whose narrative will be to make patriotic, flag loving Republicans the "winners" against the puny, cheating, "loser" Democrats?

1. huh?
WWE(ya, it's not WWF anymore) has just partnered with Russel Simmons in his voter registration program. If you don't know, Russel Simmons is a hip-hop mogul who just happens to be a good democrat.

From now on, don't read too much into this. All Vince McMahon is doing is giving the audience what he thinks they want. Not everything has to be political

2. Ah, but look at the audience demographics.
Probably a lot of non-voting people...but you don't think Bush would attempt to tap this audience?

And you ought to see that show on FSTV....I see nothing particularly entertaining in watching guys beating up women or performing simulated rape acts in front of impressionable kids and young adult males.

3. Um...
no. I don't think Bush has any interest in WWE at all.

4. When I Was a Kid
I used to watch Sunday morning wrestling with my bros.

You'll never convince me that

Chief Jay Strongbow
Andre the Giant
Tony Garrea
Dean Ho

Ever represented the Republicans, not with the likes of Stan the Man Frasiac & Fred Vlassey around.
