1. Clark was right about Kerry
Clark's a General, and Kerry's a Lieutenant

2. The perspective looks wrong.
Is this doctored? Are they in the process of shaking hands? The image looks funky.

I don't care if they salute each other or not; I'm just questioning the veracity of the image.

4. It's from the NY Times
It's a genuine photo.

It occured at the endorsement ceremony, I saw it on tv.

6. It is genuine. I was there. I have even better photos.
They were magic together and I hope this is our ticket.

8. Yes, genuine. And Kerry saluted Clark, then Clark returned the salute.

The perspective *is* humorous, though; looks like it was taken from a camera attached to the General's left buttcheek.

9. heh
Yea, the two candidates were on an elevated stage and the photographer apparently was on ground level and to the left of the general.

13. I think it was a mismatch.
Clark acted as if Kerry was going to shake his hand but Kerry proceeded to salute, so Clark grasped his shoulder avoiding the appearance of being left with his hand stuck out for nothing.

That at least was my impression. I got a laugh out of it.

The two of them are not at all in sync yet but they seemed to find it funny as well.

7. That was a very uplifting event to watch
thanks for posting the pic.

The General gave it his all, and I am glad he has gotten some measure of respect from the party. I think they know he is not a Republican now.
