Hey, political bloggers -- do you feel this way, too?
Mainstream media figures are constantly bellyaching about those unreliable dirty hippies in the blogosphere.

I have an offer to them: I'll stop political blogging if you start doing your fucking job.
  • If a White House official wants to use you to spread sludgy, Drudgy, bogus memes, just say no
  • If a swiss-cheese case is made for war, just say bullshit
  • If Supreme Court nominees are put forth, write energetically about what they'll do for — or to — our democracy
  • If a skeevy authoritarian candidate says we need to torture more prisoners, hang him out to dry
  • If there's a whiff of a genuine scandal pertaining to the trustworthiness and lawfulness of government, investigate it, report on it, and put it on the front page and at the top of the hour
  • If the underprivileged are neglected or abused, stand up for them.
That wouldn't be so hard, would it?

If you do that, I'll buy and read your publications and watch your news shows, and you won't have me bitching at you again. Wouldn't that be nice?

Hey, the liberal light is always on at the Vast Left-Wing Conspiracy. Please stop by and say "hi!"

1. Well now that's just crazy talk;
next you'll ask for coverage of congressional hearings to get more coverage than Paris Hilton.:scared:

2. I used to be a news hound,
reading three newspapers a day, network news every day flipping between the stations, followed by the McNeal Lehrer Report on PBS now called the News Hour, then I watched the late night news and even took stock of late night comedians take on the news, Letterman and Leno.

I began losing faith in them during the Clinton Witch Hunt and with their serial obsessions over the superficial, but when they started their War Against Gore, I knew they were the bad guys, just lie after lie about Al for the better part of two years prior to the selection of 2000 and it wasn't just FOX "News" it was across the board and it was scripted, the truth just didn't matter anymore.
