non-response response from my Vichy-Dem representative
I wrote to my DLC-democratic representative (PA-13) about not supporting DK's impeachment resolution and got back:

****
"As I work to meet the needs and priorities of our community and the nation, please know how much I appreciate having the benefit of your views. In particular, I am pleased to share with you my views on impeaching Vice President Dick Cheney.

Throughout the 109th Congress, my Democratic colleagues and I fought to hold the Bush Administration accountable for their failed and reckless policies, particularly with respect to their conduct of the Iraq war and the war on terror. Unfortunately, the Republican-led Congress refused to allow for oversight of the Administration and blocked many of these efforts. Many Americans are justifiably dismayed by this lack of accountability, and they have demanded change.

That is why my Democratic colleagues and I are conducting serious oversight of the Bush Administration in the 110th session of Congress, including probing the Administration's conduct in the lead-up to the war, demanding accountability for their failures, and pressuring the President to change course in Iraq. However, at this time I do not believe that impeachment hearings would benefit our nation. The work of the Congress must focus on securing our homeland, winning the war on terror, and bringing our troops home from Iraq - areas that the Republican-led Congress and the Bush Administration failed to adequately address.

Again, thank you for contacting me. Please do not hesitate to contact me again if I can help in any way, and rest assured I will continue to demand accountability from the Bush Administration. Also, if you would like to stay informed of my work, or to sign up for my electronic newsletters, please visit my Web site at www.house.gov/schwartz.

Sincerely,
Allyson Y. Schwartz
Member of Congress
****

Schwartz has been selling us out for quite a while now. I have gone from disappointment to active dislike and effort to see that she is not sent back to DC again. We cannot afford to suffer a party of collaborators any longer.

Enough is enough.

2. He appears to and has dropped in my estimation as well. My back is
hurting from all the bending over I am expected to do while toeing the party line.

By the reasoning of most (all?) of the party powerful, we should just quit and let George do whatever the hell he wants because they are too chicken-shit to really fight for what is right and dare not stand up in opposition unless they are assured of victory.

Isn't bravery daring to try when the outcome is not guaranteed?
