Noonan (Barf!) Says....
...Edwards will be the last man standing.

... and that he would give Bush a run for his money.

Take it for what it's worth. She just said this in a commentary on Scarborough's show...

I love John Edwards, but I hate Peggy Noonan with such a passion that I don't know what to make of this....

Is this her fear or her wish?

trying to kill Kerry before March 2. I am too scared to express
how serious this is.

4. Peggy Noonan is an airhead
while I like Edwards, and all the other Democrats, Peggy Noonan's opinion on the matter carries as much weight as Ann Coulter's legs when she's standing up :D

9. Noonan is on the INSIDE. Take her seriously, she has information.

There is no doubt she is using her forum to prepare the audience
for some scheme back at Rove HQ.

14. Peggy Noonan isn't trying to make an accurate prediction. Her goal
Peggy Noonan isn't trying to make an accurate prediction. Her goal is to help the Bush campaign by giving it a chance to say that Bush is a wonderful commander-in-chief and the Democratic nominee wouldn't be. The Republicans think it would be easier to say that about Edwards than Kerry.

I'm not saying the Republican strategy will be effective or that people should choose Kerry on account of it. Everyone who prefers Edwards should vote for Edwards.

10. The Republicans want to scare voters about national security, and
The Republicans want to scare voters about national security, and argue that Bush has done great at fighting the terrorists, and the Democratic nominee couldn't.

They think that strategy would be easier against John Edwards, which is why Rush Limbaugh and Peggy Noonan are promoting him.

I'm not saying this to try to persuade anyone to choose Kerry. I've given money to Edwards and not to Kerry. I'm just saying what the Republican strategy is.

11. They've been pushing Edwards for quite some time.
Let me see:
1. NO national security or foreign policy experience when they are now talking about suitcase nukes.
2. A personal injury attorney.
3. A phony populist (once exposed would have the Republicans chanting "Democratic politicians are nothing but frauds. They could care less about the poor and middle class."

20. When Kerry was ahead in early '03
Edited on Fri Feb-13-04 11:23 PM by WatchWhatISay
they pushed Dean.

When Dean was ahead they pushed Kerry.

Now that Kerry is ahead again, they know that they thouroughly destroyed Dean's chances, so they will now push Edwards.

And we will probably do what they tell us this time as well.

Makes us look unstable - like we don't really know what we want. So as usual, they will tell us.

12. She is marginally saner than Coulter, just not as obnoxious
The woman worships at the altar of Reagan and that is just about all anyone has to know about her.

15. Well at least she isn't whoring for * as much
Edwards is just as good a candidate as Kerry, and on some issues he's more direct. But he would still be attacked by the BFEE as much as Kerry would.

18. Did she have her eyes closed
and her lips pursed while gently rocking her head back and forth? While I detest Coulter most, Noonan has the most annoying mannerisms that make her a close second -- with our turncoat Democrat frog in my throat Susan Estrich #3.
