Poll question: Do you think the race will end as a result of Tuesday?
Edited on Fri Feb-13-04 08:19 PM by Bleachers7
There is no reason to believe Kerry won't win DC and Nevada tomorrow and Wisconsin on Tuesday. Do you think that Dean and Edwards will give up?

11. Money will force them out. They can keep losing if they want...
That's their privilege.

3. According to David Schuster on Hardball
Dean is under pressure from Gore to give it up after WI if he doesn't turn it around with a win, and will be under tremendous pressure next week to drop out. Edwards too will be under some pressure.

So I think we might see one or both drop out next week.

While there are other reasons to stay in the primary even if there is no chance to win the nomination, Kerry has a 40+ lead in WI and there is no foreseeable chance either Dean or Edwards could overcome that.

10. I believe Shuster put it in the context of supposing that...
Gore would try to encourage Dean to drop out. I don't believe Shuster presented it as a known fact.

Super Tuesday looms large. Hopefully Edwards and Dean will have the spine to stick it out, because Kucinich and Sharpton will be there. There will be a lot of pressure from party machinery to drop out, so it will be a true test of fortitude.

7. Let me put it this way
unless Edwards starts attacking Kerry there will be no slowing of Kerry's mo. So what would be the point of continuing. Dean has been attacking but I get the feeling no one is listening anymore.

9. Edwards want Dean will and support Edwards
First, the party wants the primary to go on, an in my opinion, it might be better to hash it out with each other than to shut the primary down this quickly...the longer the primary the more media attention the party will get..And who knows what can happen.

12. Race? What race? Is there a race going on?
All the excitement is gone. The crowds will soon be leaving the stands.
