5. NOPE, not even close! There was a hearing today by the

judiciary committee. Leahy, Schummer, and Whitehouse did a good job putting the pressure on. In fact, at one point, Chairman Leahy said "I don't know if you're trying to beat AG Gonzales with the number of times you said "I don't remember".

In fact, Gonzo has another appearance due soon. I don't recall the dat, but it's in June. Next week I think.

and there are closed hearings going on that are not even getting coverage on the blogs.

I don't know the outcome. But there is no way the hearings are dead yet.
