I watched a good amount of the Dem Debate and was impressed with most of the candidates forward looking ideas on how to better the US and how to again build bridges to make friends in the world..... and all I saw in the first half of the Republican debate was: 1. All is well 2. Lets keep having the same dam divisive style of politics that have gotten us into this mess....
I loved how they all seemed to agree that "Don't ask Don't tell" was working fine.... I guess Wolf ( he is lame by the way) did not make it clear enough that it was a Bill Clinton initiative. Wolf should have said that, "you realize gentlemen you are approving of a Clinton policy."
ALSO one last thing. McCain saying that we did not call Bosnia or Kosavo "Clinton's War" well now that is not totally true.... remember the republicans crying that Clinton was using military action to distract the country and besides Mr. McCain both of those included a true, broad coalition and UN support and was a success!!! Compared to Dick Cheney, Condi Rice, C. Powel and GW * lying us into a war.......
Just a stark contrast between the two groups....
Dems. ===> forward looking and with solid ideas (need to adopt a true Universal Health Care though)
vs.
Reps. ===> disturbingly and almost pathologic in their social conservative rants and leaning on the god is the creator a little to much for my sensible separation of church and state..... a very odd bunch and Fred Thomson does not help them.... Rudy had the only sane moment in the first half trying to express his Womans Rights stance, regardless of your view point on abortion, he actually made a clear explanation of his stance on the subject.
