Does anyone else think Hillary and Obama look good together?
I know this is so superficial, but as I see pics from the debates and them standing next to each other, I must say that they are very striking together. I'm not advocating a ticket composed of them or something, but I must say that they do look good together on a stage. They somehow compliment each other in some way. It's kinda hard to put my finger on it.

1. Many voters
go by appearance when making their choice.

There is nothing wrong with the candidates looking as good as possible, or looking good together. Most of us here are looking for substance, but we are not everyone.

Maybe it is a good thing that Fred Thompson is so ugly.

2. I thought Obama
said he wasn't running to be vice-president. He could still go back on that but every time reporters bring up that he would be the smart pic for Hillary he tells them he's in it for the gold.

6. I'm not too sure Gore will win
but good call. They are cute to go stick on a political cake somewhere where they can't run the country from.

7. I noticed their body language during the debate.
They leaned toward one another, and each nodded when the other spoke. They made a lot of eye contact and smiled at one another frequently, and they had bits of conversation. None of the other candidates did anything like that. Whether you like their positions or not, I'd say they're on the same wavelength. Naturally, both are in it for the gold, but it's not out of the question that they could end up on the ticket together. Veddy interesting.

9. If you know it's superficial
why put it in GD:politics? It's not political discourse to discuss how people look together.

It's entertainment weekly crap.

19. Appearance is a factor in politics,
whether we like it or not. There is nothing wrong with noting it and discussing it.

21. Whoa there -
John Edwards "isn't comfortable" with that kind of thing, don't you know; that kind of idea gets around, and Elizabeth Edwards will start mentioning snakes again.

15. Obama is the benefactor no matter how the election turns out..
If he doesn't win this time, he will have gained a wealth of knowledge on the complexities of running a National Campaign. He can begin to mount his next campaign the minute this one is over, if he doesn't make it this time. Theres no downside for Obama, afaics.

Shallow, but I think Hillary looked very attractive the night of the debate. She was dressed well.

17. They looked good together as they debated. Not superficial at all.
I would hope that if Hillary wins - as she may - that Obama would be VP. That would be some team.

18. I dunno - not enough "red meat" between the two of 'em
But then again, that was my problem with the Kerry/Edwards ticket of '04 and the Gore/Lieberman ticket of '00.
