Clinton: Faith helped her through marriage infidelity

WASHINGTON (CNN) – In response to a question about how she managed the infidelity in her marriage, Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-New York, said “I’m not sure I would have gotten through it without my faith.” The White House hopeful answered the question as part of Monday’s Faith and Politics forum at George Washington University moderated by CNN’s Soledad O’Brien.

“I am very grateful that I had a grounding in faith that gave me the courage and the strength to do what I thought was right,” Clinton said. “Regardless of what the world thought. And that’s all one can expect or hope for.”

Sen. Clinton also told the forum audience that she takes her faith seriously and personally, and comes, “from a tradition that is perhaps a little too suspicious of people who wear their faith on their sleeves.”

2. It's always fun when the Freepers come out to play.
Fortunately, there are some nice comments, too.

3. I bet not all of those are freepers; you have seen many Dems over here
that seem to truly hate her. She's not my first choice, but I'm liking her more and more everyday.

5. Oh, believe me, I know, but did you read the comments?
Many of them are definitely coming from a conservative perspective.

4. Let me add one thing though
I don't think her "God helped me deal with infidelity" is very sincere. I honestly think she stayed with Bill because it was the smart thing to do.

7. It's impossible for us to know
and it's possible that there were a variety of factors, and that she herself cannot identify a single reason.

9. Did you catch her comments about expecting things to happen
with a snap of the fingers, you know the part about legislative process and the fact that no one can promise and deliver an immediate end to the war.

Since you create and take every opportunity to hamstring Hillary, I don't feel too bad about reminding you that it was your boy that also voted yes on the IWR and isn't running for president now which makes him free to deliver and for you to repeat bellicose rhetoric which makes the blood race and provides a strawman to burn down, but perspective lends a realistic bent to this scenario.
