What's the buzz in Wisconsin?
Are there lots of tv and radio ads? Whose ads do you see/hear the most?

Is the media coverage nonstop?

1. So far...
Commercials from Clark were non-stop until last week. Edwards, Dean and Kerry have moved in to fill the void. (No Kucinich or Sharpton.) I'd say it's pretty evenly distributed, depending on the channel. (I don't know about radio -- I listen to NPR, mostly.)

News coverage is nightly, but not wall-to-wall or anything. I live in the Milwaukee metro area, so presidential coverage has been split with mayoral coverage. (Milwaukee's mayoral primary is Feb. 17 too.)

We've received two Dean phone-bank calls and one Kucinich.

2. One of the local stations has been interviewing a different candidate...
...almost every night. I don't usually watch it however, since it's on at the same time Democracy Now runs on public access.

I usually do watch just the beginning of the evening broadcast, though, and tonight they led with Clark's endorsement of Kerry here in Madison for the first few minutes (along with Kerry's appearance here).

Unless some bizarre event happens before November, I have little doubt at this point that Wisconsin will vote Democratic in the GE. Bigtime.

As far as the primary? I have no idea. I know a lot of Dean and Kucinich supporters at work -- and I have no doubt that Kerry has a lot of supporters all around the state due to being out front -- but the only really overwhelming sentiment that I hear is to get rid of Bush.

3. I ran into Dean campaign workers in a bar
They were trying to raise awareness of Dean among drunk college students. Also free hot dogs were being given out for a pledge of support for Dean.

5. Kerry is doing well
The Kery meetup for Appleton, WI had 5 people in November, now its at 40. I have talked to many people at work and around town that are planning to vote Kerry. I also turned my parents from Dean to Kerry :)

9. THanks everyone
I wanted to get a sense of the race there.

I hope the Wisconsin turnout is better than expected. It sends such a great message to the White House resident.
