I know it hurts, and it's hard to go on...but we've been very patient for the war's end, so we need to keep on being patient. It's extremely difficult, since it seemed like we were so close, but I'm inclined to believe there is another chance this will all go the way we want. I think there is something else up the sleeves of our top Dems, so let's not be too quick to jump ship. If we quit now, it will become far too easy on the Repukes, and that is certainly NOT what we want. It's our job, among other things, to make their lives; their really bad decisions, a living hell until they quit being themselves!

1. Point Taken.
What we must do is stop listening and heeding the whorish corporate media. As a result we MUST not allow all those gutless Democratic Representatives to get re-elected. We need to help MoveOn.org target their smarmy a**es and support their Democratic Challengers.

No, we need to, as a people, stand strong by NO LONGER electing Pseudo-Democrats (those who are covertly loyal to the corporations and war machine before the needs of their constituents).

Whatever slimy excuse they had at hand the Democrats who voted for this recent horrific war profiteer funding need to ALL be kicked out of office.

Only by placing TRUE "for the people first" Democratic Representatives in Congress can we feel confident that they truly represent their CONSTITUENTS FIRST and FOREMOST ... not the damn corporations nor war profiteers.

2. I'm certainly not going to "quit."
I will continue to oppose the war in every way I can.

I don't agree that "our top dems" have "something up their sleeves." They should have been opposing the damned war from the beginning, and have been all too complicit. They are the ones making things far too easy for republicans to move their agenda forward.

I think the best way to make things hard on republicans is to back the people in congress, and the candidates, that will do so in congress. If that's not "our top dems," but others, so be it.

3. Mothers in Iraq, mothers of US troops cannot afford to wait for Top Dems who don't really care about
Iraq.

Look over the "100 hours" Pelosi talked about when the dems first took control. Nothing about Iraq. The only reason they addressed as much as they did is because they were forced to.

Thank god for Code Pink, thank god for agitating against the War. Cindy, don't ever, ever, listen to "be patient and let the politicians dither"

4. something else up the sleeves of our top Dems
What? Why is it up their sleaves and not in the open? Why didn't they use it when they had the chance? I'm not ready to jump ship, yet, only because the alternative is unthinkable, but I am truely disgusted.

7. We are the ones who need to give our top Dems something to work with.
And from what I can see, Bush SLICED OFF their sleeves this time.

Time to make the leaders follow.

Never trust the top of the pyramid.

5. the war is vital ONLY as a distraction...
if the 'war' is taken out of news cycle, then a few sacred chestnuts might wind up on the table; 911 and the 2k election. And 911/2k election are bad topics for the public to mull over. Very bad. So maybe it better the public gets/stays all in a tizzy over Iraq- a few dead americans, a few more dead Iraqis, each day IS NOT too expensive a price to pay for our collective sanity! After all, our government was overthrown in 2k election, by the gang of thieves who stood by while crazy SS types pulled 911 off using the public purse and manipulating the public services such as FBI/FCC etc- how on earth do you tell such a story to the american people? YOU DON"T. It's easier to just let the Iraq war grind on -tony blair's already fading away and junyer bush will be ready to retire in ...oh a year or two. Chins up- we're almost outta the woods!
