"Anything But BULLSHIT"

Sure that translates into Anyone But Bush, too. And we should all ultimately be that.

But in addition we should not allow our side to wallow in our own bullshit by ignoring the real issues, burying those pesky reformers in the corner, focusing only on "plain vanilla" positions that mean nothing, allowing the DLC to set the terms of the debate, being "GOP Lite" and all the rest.

I have an aversion to the WORD reformer. REFORMERS trotted into Washington in 1996 and gave us the MESS we have today. Behind the face of a REFORMER/OUTSIDER are interests one CANNOT know because they have NO HISTORY.

The law of unintended consequences REQUIRES that we at least look at that.
Progressive policies, likewise, have had UNINTENDED consequences. THe movement to sterilize the mentally ill and economically depressed criminals (mostly black people) came out of a PROGRESSIVE movement in the late 50's early 60's.

There are ACTIONS that need to be taken such as cleaning up money in elections. IT should NOT be lost on ANYONE here that without a Supreme Court even OPEN to the conversation, there is NO possibility.

The LINE of demarcation concerning reform is MOSTLY in their court whether we talk freedom of speech cloaked as money or the media. How can one reform if one is permanently barred for justice in that court? Any Republican winning will see that that line is permanently erased for a generation, given that there will be up to THREE appointments in the coming years.
