Chicago event expected to raise at least $1.5 million for Obama
Edited on Sun May-27-07 08:51 AM by Ethelk2044
Sen. Barack Obama's campaign is planning what could be the largest fundraiser of his presidential bid so far, a big-dollar event in Chicago that is expected to raise at least $1.5 million in a single evening.

Minimum suggested admission for the June 8 reception at the Park West theater, 322 W. Armitage, is $1,000.

A flier for the event lists nine individuals or couples who have each pledged to raise at least $100,000, enough to make them "chairs" for the "Celebration with Senator Barack and Michelle Obama."

The list of Chicago-area fundraisers includes such names as Obama national finance Chairwoman Penny Pritzker and Lou Susman, the national finance chairman for John Kerry's 2004 presidential bid.

Illinois Comptroller Dan Hynes, a primary-election opponent in Obama's 2004 U.S. Senate campaign, is also among those listed in the top fundraising category, as is Chicago money manager John Rogers.

Dozens of others have each pledged to raise between $10,000 and $50,000. Playboy Enterprises CEO Christie Hefner and her husband, for example, have committed to raising at least $10,000 for the Democrat.

On paper, the event could raise as much as $2 million.

4. Not wrong Clinton remember they are a team
What he does she is aware of and is a party of. If you think it does not reflect the company she keeps you are wrong and if she wins the primary it will come out in the general election this and more.

5. Guilt by association? If thats true all candidates are doomed.
What sets us apert is I will not use a candiates spouse to attack the candidate. Yes Bill stumping for her as I am sure Mrs. Obama is for her husband. When you come up with something on Mrs. Clinton then we will talk.

see what you come up with. If you think the media and repugs are not going to eat her alive with this stuff think again. All Obama will has to do is sit back and wait. He does not need to bring any of this stuff up. The closer it gets to the primary it will be brought up, but not by him.

Heres a little tip when you try to slander someone, you had better be able to back it up. People who don't are the one's ending up looking like a fool.

13. You are the fool
You tried the same to tactic that the Clinton campaign tried to pull with the school Obama went to. What they did not count on was that someone would be able to link them with it. Also, they did not think someone would prove them wrong. Her team is so afraid of him. They had to go to under handed measures to try to bring something out. He has not really pulled in all of his base yet. Just think of what they would try to do when it gets closer to the primary.

They even tried to threaten people about contributing money to his or another democrat campaign. People are fed up with that type of politics. You wonder why she is not doing well in the midwest? People are ready for something new.

You have no reason to look up info on Hillary. Everyone already knows her negatives.

We all know her negatives. The repugs know as well. They would love to have her in the general election to eat her up alive with Carl Rove in action. 2000 and 2004 would be nothing to what they will do in 2008 with her in the general election. It will cause republican voters to come out in unheard of numbers to make sure that she does not get in office.
