From Atrios:

Blind Quote

Who said this on 11/22/05? in September '05?

I don't believe it's smart to set a date for withdrawal. I don't think you should ever telegraph your intentions to the enemy so they can await you.

Answer: here and here

Note to Democrats, stay away from RW talking points.

Atrios edited: had the date wrong.

2. Other than Kucinich, haven't they all reversed course?
I know Biden and Edwards have. Not sure about Richardson.

Frankly, the only course reverser I have much respect for at this point is Biden. He seems the most honest about it.

I know they are all politicians, but I hate being treated like an idiot.

5. Biden has no trouble saying WHY he takes his position - the problem I saw
last week is that when Hillary was against a timetable she made her case adamantly at the time, especially during the debate on Kerry-Feingold withdrawal last June.

Yes, now she has moved towards withdrawal timetable, but she sure doesn't feel the same need to publically clarify her evolution and promote the withdrawal position, does she?

7. Yes, it seems to be all about finesse for HRC.
Or, she just wants to minimize discussion of her reversals.

As I said, I hate being treated like an idiot.

Almost 3500 dead soldiers on Memorial Day weekend. I have very little respect for these folks today; they voted for the IWR out of fear of losing points as presidential contenders, and people are dying as a result.

11. Obama was never for the war, but he wasn't in a position to
either advise or vote on the resolution.

Edwards is who gets me the most - which is no secret on this board. He cheerleads the war to the point that an op-ed he wrote was published on the White House webpage, doesn't either listen or pay attention to the advise he received while on the Intelligence Committee (which cause other Dem senators on that committee to vote against the war) and continues to defend his vote through the 2004 election before suddenly "seeing the light" when he starts to run again and well after the war is as popular as STDs.

8. I know what to do!
We'll get a bunch of cardboard cutouts of soldiers, like those Fathead things, and prop them up all over the place. Then we can leave and the bad guys won't even know it!

10. I know who it wasn't.

It wasn't Dennis Kucinich. Is there any other formally declared candidate who can claim a different position at that time?
