How do we recall all the Dems who voted for the war funding bill?
Seriously. They won on platforms of ending this war in '06. And now they went all jelly-like and capitulated to the worst pResident ever. To me, that sounds a lot like Grey Davis' situation. So, how do we start recalls all over the country? Maybe it won't work, but if we could get the MSM to stop covering missing blond women, maybe they'd report on the recalls and our Congress critters would know how mad we really are.

How does a recall happen?

1. We don't. We accept this and move on to the next battle.

4. Why? Why not recall them? They have not done what we put
them in office to do. What is the next battle on which our spineless Dems will capitulate? There are no more battles. These people are awful! Lets get 'em out. We put up a slate of progressive candidates (well, there'd probably be some others we didn't like), but it would be just like California. And hopefully, we wouldn't end up with the Governator. But dang, we aren't going to win any more battles with this lot.

8. First of all, they can't be recalled, as far as I know. There's a reason
the majority of Dems voted for this, and it's not because they wanted all of their constituents to perceive them as spineless cowards. It's probably because they felt it was no use to keep sending up a bill that wasn't going to be approved, and they didn't want to be reponsible for funding delays--most Dems are not FOR defunding the war, so funding was going to happen regardless. There was also domestic/military spending and a minimum wage increase in there, so there is a silver lining. This wasn't a victory, and it wasn't Democrats' proudest moment, but we'll see who's ready to jump ship on the 'Pug side come September, and that will be another moment to challenge the Boy-King.

6. you weren't paying close attention in 2006 were you?
Democrats won on platforms opposing the war, but not on platforms calling for an immediate withdrawal, at least not most of them. WHile I wish they had, they didn't and claiming otherwise as a basis for criticizing their position six months later isn't going to change that fact.
