Republicans on the run!
Edited on Fri Feb-13-04 01:41 PM by scottcsmith
I've read many right-wing message boards, and they're filled with smear attacks against John Kerry. And I had to raise the question: if Bush being re-elected to a second term is such a sure thing, why the attacks against Kerry? Wouldn't they just ignore him if they were confident of Bush's chances for re-election? I think right-wingers know the truth, that Bush IS vulnerable, and recent polls show him trailing behind Kerry by as many as eight points.

My prediction: Bush will be spending a lot of time in Crawford, Texas starting in 2005.

1. The most recent poll had Kerry beating Bush 52-43
I think it's obvious what Rove's strstegy is: Bush is so vulnerable, he's going to try to destroy our nominee. It's his only chance.

2. Its politics
and anyone who didn't believe this wouldn't be the nastiest election since at least 1968 was kidding themselves.

Wounded animals cornered always fight back. We already know that Bush is an animal...

6. Bush is not an animal, he is a human with level zero emotional maturity an
and a tendancy toward violence, criminality and messianic hallucinations, likely suffers long term brain trauma from alcohol and drug abuse. I am sorry to disagree but to label him an animal, while technically true in that humans are animals, does two things:
1) makes him out to be less dangerous and crafty than he is;
2) insults all the real animals I know who by nature are both honest and pretty much laid back....

14. I've seen mama grizzlies with endangered cubs. . .
and I've seen cornered, desperate men. No comparison. The human has always been -- and in BushCo's case, most definitely is -- the greater threat.

4. He already spends a lot of time in Crawford...
...so the only difference is he won't be a figurehead for Cheney/Halliburton/etc.

5. Bush don't like crawford...the 'ranch' is a hoax/joke
they bought it for Bushies campaign in 2000. So he could appear to be a real texan...he prefers 2000 dollar suits, and the night life in Austin....not moving brush in Crawford. I predict that when he loses he don't go anywhere near crawford except to get his stuff and relocate...

15. Too damn hot in Texas anymore. Nobody but fools and vermin
deliberately live there. Well, now there's a point. Maybe he will be spending more time in Crawford.

16. Wouldn't say it is "all over" but we are leading by a field goal
in the second quarter and the opposing quarterback is a little wobbly while our quarterback is looking mighty healthy.
