A salute to General Clark
It is clear that Clark is going to do everything he can to help fight the GOP and ensure the Democrats take back the presidency in 2004. Clark is a man of honor and dignity, a true patriot. A real Democrat, and Kerry is fortunate to have him by his side.

15. Sour sour sour grapes
Apparantly, sour grapes make LOTS of "whine."

You guys are looking like whooped puppies. DON'T do that. Dean is still in the race. Running around the schoolyard throwing stones at the other kids is, frankly, childish.

7. Support your guy in the primaries
then support the nominee, whoever he is, to unseat the unelected fraud, spineless chimp, AWOL, frat boy in November. We can't let him have another four years, no matter how disappointed we are that"our guy" isn't THE guy.

10. I hope the power of all this isn't lost on anyone
Edited on Fri Feb-13-04 02:09 PM by BeyondGeography
There's the war in Iraq, the war on terror and where are the war heroes on the Republican side?

There's AWOL, Dick Cheney, who had "other priorities" during Vietnam (his words), PNAC eggheads like Kristol, Wolfowitz and Perle (none of who served).

The only substantial military figure in the whole Administration is Powell, and he's been marginalized and treated like shit.

We're putting a veteran at the top of our ticket for a lot of reasons. It's announcement that our guy is just as patriotic as your guy. In fact, much more so. And just in case the message doesn't get through (you know, once the Hanoi Jane horseshit starts in earnest), we've got Wes Clark on our side, too.

And how great is that, folks?

13. Clark made me very proud today. He has earned his...
Democratic bonifides. No one (other than Dean who calls both Clark and Kerry republicans, because the facts are meaningless to him) can ever call Clark a republican again. He is officially one of us.

Here's to you General! :toast:

19. yup he fell right in line with the PPI candidate like a good general
Edited on Fri Feb-13-04 10:45 PM by Cheswick
he fell right in line with the other guy who called him a republican. But Dean is the one who doesn't care about facts?

Sad and undignified is how Clark seemed to me. He betrayed most of what he said he stood for. He even repeated the ridiculous talking point that the whole party is "unifed". It made me scratch my head and wonder if he wasn't the "stop Dean" candidate and a tool for he DLC all along.

16. I'm proud I supported Clark
and I appreciate that he dropped out before damaging Dems chances in November. His efforts are to defeat Bush and take back our country and I honor him for that.
