Nit-picking fox "journalism"
Edited on Mon May-07-07 07:07 AM by BOSSHOG
Saturday afternoon I was channel checking as I drove home for a visit to the quarter and I heard the top of the hour fox news (five minutes.) They were talking about the Hindenburg disaster anniversary. "Here is the live broadcast at the scene of the disaster." It wasn't a live broadcast, it was recorded and played back coast to coast the next day. Also "35 people onboard the Hindenburg and one ground crewman were killed." No one onboard the Hindenburg was killed. Only those that jumped were killed. In one brief story, a few minutes long, I found distortion, unintentional because fox "journalists" don't give a fuck whether they are accurate or not. To be fair (and balanced) I heard other similar reports but not so worded. Maybe just a small thing but I think very telling of the state of today's "journalism."

1. I'd cut the media some slack if it were a developing story, but sheesh,
they've had 70 years to the Hindenburg details nailed down. :sheesh:

3. Those who didn't jump survived?
I didn't know that!

But then, I'm not a "journalist" by profession, so I can be forgiven.
