Come on JK, show us your stuff!
Just getting ready to sign off for the night, and I realized that I'm kinda looking forward to seeing how Kerry handles the "bimbo" eruption. I remember him saying that they're going to hit back hard everytime somebody hits them, so, to me, how he handles this will be a real clue for how he'll do against the BushRove slime machine in the fall.

See y'all in the mornin'!

2. will be easy to hit someone hard if untrue,
if true I am as curious as you to see how he handles it.

read and heard on radio that lehane may be behind the story. sorry could only find link from the sun quickly. Bit tired from tracking all day.

The source of the story was said to be Clark’s press chief Chris Lehane, who worked for Kerry before switching sides. Another Kerry rival, Howard Dean, has reversed his decision to quit the race because of the scandal.http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2-2004071162,00.html

3. it's not lehane or clark
lehane was looking through kerry's background but it was in 2000 when gore was considering him for vp. al gore wanted to do the whole morals thing by distancing himself from clinton and they thought kerry's relationships with women would not help. although much of this is from when he was single it would still get in the way of them wanting to campaign on morals. this is the biggest reason joe lieberman was chosen for vp in the end.

also, the sun is a rupert murdoch rag.

4. yes i know
that's why I provided the caution, here is another--http://www.philly.com/mld/dailynews/news/local/7943785.htm

' "Numerous fingers for the uproar were pointed last night at Clark's top aide, Chris Lehane, who was Gore's campaign press secretary in 2000. Washington insider Craig Crawford of Congressional Quarterly said in a widely circulated e-mail that Lehane had been "shopping" the story to reporters for a long time." "

8. Please note
The Drudge item blaming Lehane quoted Craig Crawford, a former Democratic operative who now works as a consultant and columnist for MSNBC. Within 10 minutes after Drudge posted the Kerry intern item, Crawford sent a memo to his superiors that said the story was "something Chris Lehane (clark press secy) has shopped around for a long time." According to Crawford, someone at MSNBC promptly leaked his memo to Drudge. But when Lehane called Crawford with a loudly indignant denial, the MSNBC columnist quickly issued a public retraction. He said:

"The comments attributed to me are from a private email to television news associates based on conversations with Democratic campaign operatives. I did not consider any of it confirmed enough to report or publish. I can only verify that Chris Lehane's rivals in other Democratic campaigns made these claims and I have found no independent source to confirm it. Which is why we did not go with the story. But then someone sent my email to others, which is the only reason it got into the public domain." In other words, there is no proof that Lehane circulated the rumor, let alone that the rumor has any basis in reality.
