It won't be hard to imagine what the unified theme of the Republican candidates will be next week
when they have their own televised "debate".

"Democrats are wimps. As President, I won't be a wimp."

"Democrats are weak on terror. As President, I will protect you, and I will keep you and your family the safest of anyone from roving bands of Iranians".

It'll be a pissing contest to see who can come off as the biggest and baddest headbanger, at the expense of making all Democrats look weak. Fucking lying repuke assholes.

BTW, why is it that Democrats always have to go first? It's a huge disadvantage, just like it was for the national conventions in 2004 when we took the high road at our convention and they followed up by pasting us like redheaded stepchildren at their convention.

1. I don't think it was a mistake -- far from it
They came across as reasoned, thoughtful people who were thinking about problems here at HOME. The Repubs will ramp up their fearmonkey screeching and the public will see just how out of touch these a-holes are with what WE want.

6. I think they're going first because the republikkans are in the white house
In 96 and 2000 the Dems had the last convention because Clinton was the President.
84, 88, 92, 04 the republikkans went last.

8. i hope the repubs
whoop it for security and war.
the national mood doesn't really support that anymore.

that's a head scratcher with regards to rudy.....his big selling point with the rightwingers
is that he'll fight the wot, but i no longer think that's a winning issue

wages and healthcare....that's the ticket
