His response, pulling out the pocket copy of the Constitution was brilliant. He gained support tonight. The rest had an opportunity and completely blew it in reagrds to that question.

6. Jim Sparkman the old senator from Alabama who was Stevenson's Veep Candidate

carried his in his breast pocket and passed it on thru his wife to Howell Heflin after he died. Howell carried his with him everywhere. I think Senator Byrd does also.
