If the corporate media held the Republicans to the same standards that
they hold Democrats to, or that the Republicans held the Democrats to ...

the Republican party would be nothing but a bad memory today ... a mere "comma" in history ...

1. BINGO!
And every day - it gets a little bit worse, and worse.
Everyday, they reach a NEW low, every day the try and out do themselves.

Basically, they suck.

3. The problem with the corporate media is a problem with every private corporation.
All for-profit corporations exist, first and foremost, to enrich shareholder value. Everything else is incidental. Everything else is subordinate to that primary objective.

Tell me, how many times has journalistic integrity come up against the bottom line and lost? If some embarrassing bit of information came out about NBC's owner General Electric, do you think that there would be pressure on NBC to kill the damn story? If it came out that ABC's parent company Disney was guilty of using child labor in Burma to make mickey mouse dolls, do you think ABC would be more likely or less likely to break that news story?

Do the math. The reason why the would rather report on Alec Baldwin and Anna Nicole's personal lives is because these corporations would rather pursue the bottom line at the expense of the constitutionally protected activity of informing the public.

They are failing their constitutional duty to inform the public, and I dare anybody here to tell me that you can run a representative form of government on ill-informed or misinformed citizenry.

4. Which Top Name Democrats are adressing media bias as a major issue?
Edited on Wed Apr-25-07 04:29 PM by Dr Fate
If it takes you longer than 30 seconds to come up with several names and specific recent actions in this area, then I see 2 problems, not one.

6. No one can answer my question. That demonstrates that DEMS too are a huge part of the problem.
Edited on Wed Apr-25-07 05:15 PM by Dr Fate
Yes- the media is biased- but we always fail to point out that Democrats refuse to even adress this.

Instead, DEM leaders through proxy online advocates use it as their fall-back excuse for when they are too frightened to fight Bush. Examples:

"We cant impeach- the media is too biased"

"We cant filibuster Alito- the media is too biased"

"We cant say they stole the election-the media is too biased"

"We cant fight election fraud- the media is too biased"

"We cant say Bush lied about WMDs- the media is too biased"

"We cant respnd to the SBV's- the media is too baised"

etc,etc,etc,etc
