Just facts please. Kerry married Teresa H how long ago? Pre-intern?
Despite my first reaction that the "Notorious JFK", Capitol Hill playboy Kerry having a girlfriend was utter glee, I'm starting to think there may not be anything to this story. While we as a country really do need a little sex scandal to lighten us up and kill this idea of presidential virginity once and for all, I don't think this'll be it. Still, it could've been just more fun for an election year that's already been pretty entertaining.

But now my question. When did Kerry marry Teresa Heinz? I understand the intern fling is alleged to have started in 2001 and gone on for about two years. But I can't find a marriage date on google for the Kerrys. Aren't they a sort of new item? Do the marriage and the alleged affair even overlap in time?

2. First, there is the oath of chastity
Then the oath of hypocrisy, if you are a Republican.

4. About Teresa Heinz Kerry

"Their mutual interest in environmental issues brought Teresa and John together. She was first introduced to John Kerry by Senator Heinz at an Earth Day rally in 1990. In 1992, she ran into Kerry at the Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro, where she was representing U.S. non-governmental organizations. In 1993 they began dating, and were married in the presence of her three sons and his two daughters on Memorial Day in 1995."

6. God I hate annulments. His kids with the first wife are now officially
bastards in the church. Frankly, if he could do that to
his kids, he's officially a bastard in my eyes.

8. You're making defend Kerry, the Pope, and my ex-wife. Thanks a LOT
Out of a courtesy to my ex wife, I filled out some laborious annulment paper work so that she could remarry in her church. I'm not Catholic and my daughter is in no way considered a bastard. The annulment of the marriage only means that it was not a true, fit, spiritual union. It's a nice, if idealistic concept that there's such a thing as a true marriage of souls as compared to the mere legal arrangement of marriage. I don't agree with the underlying concepts, but it doesn't mean that people who do think that way are hypocrites. I think you're being unduly harsh.

10. No. just unduly desperate in the waning hours of Dean's campaign.
An anuulment does not make kids "bastards" in the eyes of the church.
Children of all marriages performed in the catholic church are legitimate, whether that marriage is later annulled or not.

In fact even kids born out of wedlock can be legitimized by a simple service.

It's sad to say that tonight I am unable to tell the difference between some Dean supporters and some Republicans I know. They're making identical comments about Kerry.

That's not an attack, just a complete and honest fact--i can't tell the difference based by their comments.
