McCain naturally wins since it his home state and he is popular there, Giuliani wins because it is a red state. What is intriguing is that Edwards and Obama beat Romney (HRC still loses to Romney, unlike the other two major Democratic candidates). That suggests we can flip Arizona, a red state but not an extremely red state,
if we have a strong candidate and the Republicans nominate a weak candidate like Multiple Choice Mitt.
What do Arizona DU'ers think about our chances in Arizona?
==In Arizona, a new Grand Canyon State Poll finds Sen. John McCain and Rudy Giuliani beating any of the current Democrats running for president -- Sen. Hillary Clinton, Sen. Barack Obama, or John Edwards -- in general election match-ups.
However, while Mitt Romney edges Clinton, he loses close races to both Edwards or Obama.
Key finding: "Of the major Democratic Party candidates running for president, Senator Edwards has the strongest support among registered voters in Arizona. Senator Edwards would beat Republican Governor Mitt Romney 49 to 43 percent if the presidential election were held today. Edwards would receive 43 percent of the vote against Giuliani’s 51 percent of the vote. Edwards would take 39 percent of the vote against Senator McCain, who would receive 56 percent of the vote."==
