Yes but not with a primary candiate, Perot dropped out in 1992 then came back, and no because I dont know of anyone who dropped out in a primary. BTW I know what youre asking, and I dont see Clark coming back in the race,

drop out after the press nailed him on Donna Rice and later get back in the primary race for a while?

In '88. Pulled out after the Rice thing, sorted out his personal business, and jumped back in.

"I'm back in the race", he said.

Not very successful, though.
