" I can say I have never seen a president so isolated since Richard Nixon"
" The president appears to be totally removed from reality. He tells us Attorney General Gonzales has done a great job when anyone who watched it views it as one of the least impressive appearances of an AG. He tells us that the president of the World Bank, is doing a great job, oblivious to the damage being done to America's reputation around the world. And against the advice of some of the most gifted military men and women in a generation, he's adopted a policy in Iraq is a disaster."

"If the President vetoes the emergency spending bill, he's the one who will be denying our troops funding and he's the one who will be denying the American people a path out of Iraq."

"Mr. President I have a message for you: the only thing that is emboldening the enemy is your failed policy. Instead of escalating the war with no end in sight, we have to start bringing it to a responsible conclusion.

From Joe Biden on the Senate floor today.
This is why I support him, and can't understand why more people don't.
Biden is always fighting to end this war in Iraq without leaving chaos. And he is not afraid to say what needs to be said.

You can read more of his speech at

2. I believe that the dem leadership is making the case for it
But they are doing it in a smart manner, by bringing out the facts first, so the people demand it. In contrast to what they did to Clinton.
They put him on trial first and then looked for facts.

My opinion anyway.

3. I've said it before and I'll say it again--It's time for a Caine Mutiny.
I don't want to wait until GWB babbles on about the strawberries.

4. Well, is he sobbing into his hands, and asking his staff to get down on their knees and pray with
him? Is he hiding the scotch in the toilet tank?

Hey, I don't "not support" Biden. I'm one of the great unwashed undecided!!! I am actually WAITING for the DEBATES!! Such a concept!!!

I like them ALL, so I'm going to whittle down my decision after actually hearing what each one has to say. I'm not letting publicists or advocates or people with vicious smear tactics sway me. I recommend others who are still up in the air take everything, save what comes out of the candidates' mouths, with a huge grain of salt!

5. Sobbing in his hands??
What are you talking about?

I have never seen Biden when he wasn't outspoken.

The only time I have ever seen him teary-eyed was when he was talking about the death of his first wife and child? Hopefully you're not refering to that.

6. Jesus, those who do not know history are condemned to repeat it.
Read your quote. It is BIDEN, speaking of DUMBYA, and comparing him to NIXON.

My question, "Is he sobbing into his hands...?" refers to DUMBYA, in the context of Biden's comparison, and references what Nixon did with, among others, Henry Kissinger. Comedians around the world used Kissinger's description of those days to come up with brutal fodder, to include the famous SNL "Jew-boy" routine (which Nixon termed Kissinger, behind his back), where Nixon is begging Kissinger to get down on his knees and pray with him, and also wanders around the WH, talking to the Presidential portraits.

See here, for some "ancient" (apparently) history: http://snltranscripts.jt.org/75/75snixon.phtml

7. Must have missed that one
Not ancient to me, actually that was back in the days when SNL was at it's best.

Okay - so I'm just ready to fight for Biden:eyes: What can I say?
